Welcome to Farraday Country, set in cattle-ranching west Texas, with all the friends, family and fun that fans have come to expect from USA TODAY Bestselling Author Chris Keniston.

Declan Farraday left the Dallas PD to take the job of Police Chief in his peaceful and uncomplicated West Texas hometown.  He just wished the folks in Tuckers Bluff would cooperate. Especially when someone leaves a definite complication on his doorstep and his only option is to reach out to the one girl in town he has no business asking for help.

Becky Wilson has loved Declan Farraday's brother since the first grade and the whole town knows it. When Declan needs help, she doesn't hesitate to step up. Working with the normally serious big brother reveals his gentler sweeter side. The more time they spend together, the more she questions has she been dreaming of the wrong Farraday?

Declan Farraday Country Book 4 edition by Chris Keniston Literature Fiction eBooks

I have said this of each book in the series but it still feels true; Declan is my favorite book in the Faraday Country series. I have loved every one of these wonderful books, but I have had a crush on DJ from the beginning. Delightful humor, lovely romance, tense moments carry this sweet novel forward. Life gets more interesting all the time! Yes, the dog was back! You probably know enough about the book to realize the current hook up is between DJ and Becky, not a connection we might have expected, but the transition is handled believably. With Becky’s lifelong crush on DJ’s brother Ethan, our favorite lawman is upset that he is falling for the girl he grew up with, but she is no longer a girl and she is seeing him through new eyes too. A new person in town is causing a major stir and contributing to the newest relationship to bud after a visit from our mystic dog, and an old situation boils over bringing frightening results.

I requested and received an early reader copy of Declan from the author because I love her books. The review is completely voluntary and all my own opinion. I always review books I love and love it I do. I also preordered my own copy of the book.

Declan Farraday Country Book 4 edition by Chris Keniston Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

It seems the editors left advertisements for the author in the middle of the book. Not desired, not appreciated, and frankly, makes me never want to purchase from this author again.
Police Chief Declan Farraday and Becky Wilson are thrown together when a child appears on the police station's doorstep. Together, they must take care of the child and try to find the parent. Declan falls in love with Becky who he suspects has always loved his brother, Ethan. Do they sort out their differences and realize their attraction? And who is the father of the child?
I agree with reviewer Jeannie - the best of the series to date; though from the trailer, Ethan is clearly going to be great and Grace - still to come. This is a fun read. Many of the Farraday family and town's characters return, full of vim and vigor as always. A plot twist a cute baby. Bounce the baby bounce bounce bounce. Pat the baby pat pat pat. Who's the Daddy? That's the question of the days and nights - Gotta have a little mystery in a plot! Family, romance, a small town in Texas, work and play - what's not to love about Chris Keniston's books! I recommend buy and read all of them. I'd read the earlier ones and pre-ordered this one. Now, to pre-order and await "Ethan."
I have recently discovered this author and this series and I love it. I feel like I am right there with the Farraday family and friends. The emotions are so real. I have read the first 4 book and have book 5, Ethan, ready to read. I have another book in another series that was released while I was readying Declan. I'll read that one and then back to Farraday Country. I only wish I would have realized I could have purchased the series as a collection instead of purchasing each individually. I would have done that. I highly encourage you too! Happy reading and glad I found Chris Keniston!
I absolutely loved this book! It had everything a reader could ever want; a clean romance, mystery, intrigue, and a couple of very intense suspence filled moments. I absolutely loved the pairing of DJ and Becky. Too bad for Ethan, though. But as the old adage goes..." you snooze, you loose buddy".

Of course the mysterious dog makes his appearance once again; makes you wonder how he gets there, and where he mysteriously disappears to without anyone noticing. I knew something was up with Jake, but I never expected it to turn out to be what it was.

And of course you all know that I just love Aunt Eileen and her cohorts, I think they are both adorable and hilarious. They always seem to be involved in something, usually it pertains to mainly to the gossip hour. But if need be...these ladies sure know how to put together a big event. They throw food together like nobody's business and you can usually find them ordering everyone else around, like they were born drill sargents.

I just wonder how Ethan is going to handle the news they have for him when he gets home. Can't wait to find out.
This series is one that the more I read the more I want the next book like right NOW , book four in the Farraday Country series. Declan Farraday left the Dallas Police Department to take the job of Police Chief in his home town he wishes the people of Tucker’s Bluff would just let him do his job. He gets a surprise with what is left on his door-step and needs help so he gets in touch with Becky Wilson. Becky has loved Ethan Declan’s brother since grade school but the more she gets to know Declan the more she feels for him. The dog that keeps disappearing has shown himself to Declan! What was on the door-step? What Happens?
Oh WOW! I loved this five star read. I have been waiting with bated breath for Declan's story.

Declan Farraday left the Dallas PD to return to his peaceful small-town home in West Texas where he is now the sheriff. He finds a baby on the doorstep of sheriff's office and is frantically trying to put the puzzle pieces together. Could this precious bundle be a Farraday?

Becky Wilson works at the animal hospital for Adam, Declan's brother. She has loved Declan Farraday's younger brother, Ethan, since first grade and it is a well known fact throughout the town. Becky has a license to foster children and Declan asks for her help with the abandoned baby. Becky steps up and takes the child into her home.

Becky is in for a pleasant surprise when Declan, the serious brother, shows his sweeter, softer side as they both care for the baby.

What a sweet ride this book is. I loved every word and the series has been awesome but 'Declan' is my favorite so far. Thank you Chris 'the magic wordsmith' Keniston for another great book. You know I love your writing and you are a must read author for this reader!! Thank you!
